Top Story Today: Upcoming Closures In Ellensburg
The Ellensburg Adult Activity Center will close at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28.
The City of Ellensburg will be resurfacing three downtown City streets on Monday, July 3. This project requires a full-day closure of the following downtown streets from 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, July 3:
Fourth Avenue from Water Street to Ruby Street
Pearl Street from Third Avenue to Fifth Avenue
Pine Street from Third Avenue to Fifth Avenue
Any vehicles left in the project area after 12:01 a.m. on July 3 may be towed.
Ellensburg Teen Reading Program Kicks Off This Week
The kickoff for the Ellensburg Public Library’s teen reading program is 3:30 p.m., Thursday, at Hal Holmes Community Center. There will be pizza, surprises and swag. Sign-up is required.

• The Ellensburg School Board meets at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Ida Nason Aronica Elementary School.
LUNCH
The FISH Open Table lunch is a grilled Polish dog with peppers and onions, as well as coleslaw and apple. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Ellensburg, and noon to 1 p.m., in Cle Elum. Meal sites are the Ellensburg Open Table and the Cle Elum Seventh-day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg location.
