CWU and Kittitas County are partnering on an innovative hub at the historic Ellensburg Steam Plant calling it a new era of economic development in Kittitas County.
Central Washington University’s Equity and Belonging vice president has recommended closing her office at the end of this year.
Ellensburg received a third of the government funding it applied for to support its planned electrical grid modernization project.

Ellensburg’s Boy’s Soccer team lost to Othello 3-1 on Tuesday.
Ellensburg’s Boys Baseball team lost to East Valley on Tuesday, 4-1
Ellensburg’s Girls Softball team beat Grandview 19-7 and 21 - 5 on Tuesday in five inning games.
Central Washington University’s Men’s Baseball team plays Whitworth on Saturday at noon and Sunday at noon.

LUNCH
The FISH Open Table Lunch is Chicken and Dumplings. This includes shredded chicken with seasonal vegetables, cream and herbs. The meal also includes a biscuit and peaches. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
