Ellensburg set a new record high on Tuesday hitting 66 degrees for March 25th. This beats the old record of 65 degrees in 2007.

Kittitas County commissioners approved a contract Monday with Belsaas & Smith Construction for emergency repairs in the Kittitas Armory at the Kittitas Valley Event Center.

Two local construction companies have merged, officials announced last week. Ponderosa Construction and Mountain Construction are now TM Construction

Ellensburg Police Department to host a Car Seat Clinic.  According to EPD, this is the first Car Seat Clinic of 2025. Saturday, Mar. 29. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Police Department. 

Trivia Night at Mule and Elk Brewing Company starts at 6 p.m.

Daniel Davison will play at Cornerstone Italian Kitchen at 6 p.m. on Friday

The Ellensburg Dance Ensemble holds its Last Friday Roller Skate at 6 p.m. on Friday at the Ellensburg Dance Ensemble.

SPORTS

Ellensburg Boy’s Soccer team tied Toppenish 1-1 on Tuesday. Ellensburg Boy’s Baseball beat Quincy 3-0

Central Washington University’s Men’s Baseball Team plays Montana State-Billings at noon at the CWU baseball field. They play a second seven inning game at 3 p.m.

The 23rd Yakima River Canyon Marathon will return Saturday with more than 300 runners from across the U.S. and Canada.

The forecasted high today in Ellensburg is 56 degrees. Sunset is at 7:25 p.m., and the expected nighttime low is 43 degrees. Winds will be out of the WSW at 10-15 MPH.   

LUNCH

The FISH Open Table Lunch is Baked Potato, Vegetarian Chill with Sour Cream and Cheese, Garlic Bread and Mixed Fruit. The lunch is open to all seniors age 60-plus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ellensburg Open Table, and noon to 1 p.m., at the Cle Elum Seventh Day Adventist Church. The community lunch for anyone needing a hot meal is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Open Table.
